About the Position
Contractual position for one year:
This is a data operations and quality-focused role, not a data science or machine learning position.
The newly established MI OAC (Market Insight Operation Acceleration Center) is a team of flexible and agile colleagues who will support MI Business as Usual (BAU) Data Operation teams during the critical phase of starting a new project.
As a Data Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for executing production tasks with expert-level proficiency. This includes advanced data coding, data matching, and comprehensive quality checks as required and in line with operational goals and business requirements. You will play a key role in stakeholder communication, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery, and leading investigations into data issues. You are expected to proactively suggest improvements and corrections to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Data Coding: Apply complex and nuanced coding logic across multiple product categories.
- Data Matching: Ensure high accuracy matching across diverse data sources.
- Quality Checks: Conduct end-to-end validation of product features and pricing.
- Apply analytical thinking to identify outliers and anomalies in pricing, sales, and market trends.
- Proactively suggest corrections and process improvements to enhance data quality and efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of data integrity and consistency throughout the production cycle.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to:
- Implement requested changes in data.
- Clarify and resolve data-related queries.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of data outputs in alignment with SLAs.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any data errors or delivery issues, and drive resolution.
- Document processes, findings, and resolutions clearly and consistently.
- Support cross-functional initiatives and mentor junior team members when needed.
Requirements
- Expert-level understanding of product categorization, coding logic, and market dynamics.
- Strong analytical skills to detect patterns, trends, and anomalies in large datasets.
- End-to-end quality control capabilities, including validation of product features and pricing.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
- Proficiency in internet-based research for product and market insights.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- 6 months to 2 years of experience.
Education:
- Bachelor’s/ master’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
