About the Position
Data Scientist
Nigel Frank is seeking a Data Scientist to join a friendly and flexible business at the beginning of its Data Science journey. This role is ideal for someone with a background in Data Analysis or Business Intelligence Analysis, possessing strong Power BI skills, and ready to take ownership of reporting functions while driving machine learning and forecasting initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Creating, developing, and taking full ownership of Power BI dashboards used across the organization.
- Designing and deploying ML models with Azure Machine Learning.
- Leading retail demand forecasting projects that support key operational decisions.
- Partnering with stakeholders to understand problems and deliver meaningful data-led solutions.
- Supporting the move from legacy tooling into the Azure ecosystem (Azure SQL, Synapse, ADF).
- Helping shape new processes and contributing to a data-driven culture.
Requirements
- Strong Power BI experience (DAX, modelling, dashboard development).
- Proven Azure skills, especially Azure ML.
- Hands-on machine learning and retail forecasting experience.
- Background in Data Science, Data/BI Analytics, or similar.
- Solid Python and SQL skills.
- Great communication skills and the confidence to guide non-technical stakeholders.
