About the Position
Join TMC as a Data Scientist in Milan, Italy. Utilize advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI to uncover patterns and drive data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define data requirements, analytical approaches, and technical specifications based on business and project needs.
- Perform data explorations, statistical analyses, and feasibility assessments to support model development and data-driven decision-making.
- Develop, implement, and optimize machine learning models, analytical frameworks, and data solutions that align with project objectives.
- Conduct model validation, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and technical documentation to ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of analytical solutions.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or an equivalent degree;
- Previous industry experience;
- Strong working knowledge of C, C++, C#, Matlab, Python, R, Java;
- Working knowledge of commonly used BI toolkits, such as Tableau, Qlikview;
- Proven experience in modeling physical-technical problems, risk modeling, algorithm development, image processing, and/or data analysis;
- Experience with processing large datasets (> 1 TB) is considered a plus;
- Experience with image processing is considered a plus;
- Good oral and written communication skills in both Italian and English;
We Offer
- A fixed-term employment contract;
- A gross annual salary (Gross Annual Salary – RAL) not less than €35,000, in accordance with the National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL) for Trade – Tertiary, Distribution, and Services.
TMC is committed to offering a competitive compensation package. At the end of the recruitment process, after evaluating the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, the company may offer a final gross annual salary higher than the amount mentioned above.
In line with our business model, the final compensation package also includes a project profit-sharing component, an individual annual learning and development budget of €4,000 net, and an annual welfare allowance. Further details will be provided during the recruitment process, in accordance with the company's applicable policies.
