About the Position

Data Scientist | KYC @ING Hubs Romania

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our team in Bucharest, Romania. In this role, you will be responsible for scoping, developing, validating, and documenting machine learning-based solutions that will form the core of the products developed by ING Analytics (INGA). You will collaborate closely with other scientists and analysts to ensure the best possible performance of our models.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement machine learning solutions for fraud detection.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure model performance.
• Prepare fraud advance models for deployment to production.
• Explore and engage in INGA’s domain to create safer banking and societal solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or econometrics.
• 1-3 years of work experience in the data science field.
• Good understanding of supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Proficiency in Apache Spark, SQL, and Git.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a semi-remote, globally distributed team.

• Broad experience with end-to-end machine learning projects.
• Background in writing production-ready code and a solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
