Data Scientist/AI Engineer

About the Position

Our client is an international AdTech company working with major publishers and media groups. Its platform brings together advertising data from hundreds of sources into one reliable view, and runs AI agents on top of that data that help teams understand revenue, prepare reports and make faster decisions.

We're looking for a Strong Middle Data Scientist / AI Engineer to join the client's product team. You'll build new AI agents, improve the data science behind them, and keep existing features reliable. You'll work closely with the client's product and business stakeholders, so a fast understanding of the advertising business matters as much as technical skills.

Location: UA/EU, fully remote. We also consider Ukrainians who relocated to EU.

Type of engagement: full-time, long-term.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve AI agents that analyze revenue, forecast performance, and prepare insights and meeting materials.
• Design how the agents use tools and data, so their answers are accurate and consistent.
• Investigate and fix issues in AI answers, such as incorrect comparisons or inconsistent results from generated SQL.
• Build data science features: anomaly detection, alerts, forecasting, and algorithms that map and match advertising data.
• Run and move data science jobs inside Snowflake.
• Contribute to new AI initiatives, such as agent integrations and MCP server.
• Add monitoring and quality checks so AI features stay reliable in production.
• Occasionally read and contribute small changes to Ruby projects alongside the main Python work, with support from the team.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Strong Python skills.
• Solid data science and machine learning background: forecasting, anomaly detection, model evaluation.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-based applications or AI agents (prompts, tools, evaluation).
• Experience with the Claude API (Anthropic) or Amazon Bedrock; familiarity with other enterprise LLM platforms is a plus.
• Strong SQL and experience with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake preferred).
• Ability to quickly understand business context and work directly with non-technical stakeholders.
• Good spoken and written English (B2 and higher).

Nice-to-have:

• Working knowledge of Ruby, enough to read and contribute to existing Ruby projects.
• AdTech knowledge: ad servers, SSPs, DSPs, programmatic, publisher revenue.
• ML tools like MLflow or Kubeflow, and data pipeline (ETL) tools.
• Snowflake container services (SPCS), AWS.
