About the Position

Company: An innovative, fast-growing, and progressive investment firm is seeking to recruit a highly experienced, responsible, and strong Database Administrator to join their team of professionals. LOCATION: Limassol, Cyprus (relocation and visa help)

Responsibilities

• Organization of backup
• Query optimization
• Support for fault-tolerant configurations
• DBMS monitoring support
• Optimization of Linux settings, storage systems, virtual machines for high-load DBMS operations
• Finding and solving problems with DBMS performance
• Identification of “heavy” queries that arise during the operation of application systems on a DBMS under Linux
• Records management

Requirements

• Self-organization, independence in work and decision-making, attentiveness, creative approach to solving non-standard problems
• English Intermediate
• Experience in administering SQL similar databases, we use Mariadb
• Experience in administering high-load databases
• Experience in operating DBMS under Linux
• Replication, backup, recovery
• Experience in finding problems in databases operating under high load
• Working with SQL queries
