About the Position

Database Architecte (K09985)

We are seeking a Database Architect with expertise in Oracle RDMS, DataGuard, RMAN, and SQL, PL/SQL, RDS to join our team in Brussels, Belgium. This role is part of a team of 5 "Database Administrators" responsible for managing the databases of the SFPD, supporting development teams with database-related issues, and developing tools for their own needs.

Responsibilities

Administer and optimize our databases in production and non-production environments.
Work closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams, and support them during critical incidents.
Manage the evolution of configurations according to business needs.
Define and implement a secure access strategy (IAM principles, roles, permissions, audit).
Contribute to the demonstration of NIS2 compliance within the data perimeter.
Contribute to the design of robust and tested backup and restoration strategies.
Regularly validate disaster recovery plans and ensure recovery in case of disaster.
Document procedures and keep them updated.
Communicate clearly about risks and solutions.

English: Active knowledge
Dutch: Native

Ability to work in a team and share skills to achieve common goals.

Technical project management with limited scope.
Ability to lead a team is a plus.
