Database / Integration Developer

About the Position

We are seeking a Database / Integration Developer with 5+ years of experience to support data exchange between engineering web applications in Remote Bulgaria. The role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable integrations, ensuring smooth data flow between systems and consistency of shared data.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data exchange between web applications and related systems.
• Work with databases, APIs, and integration services to support reliable data flow.
• Analyze existing data structures, mappings, and integration points.
• Troubleshoot integration issues, data inconsistencies, and performance-related problems.
• Collaborate with frontend, backend, QA, and product teams to clarify integration requirements.
• Support testing and validation of data flows between applications.
• Document integration logic, data mappings, and technical decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong experience with database development and data integration between applications.
• Experience designing and implementing data exchange between web applications.
• Good understanding of APIs, data services, and integration patterns.
• Experience with SQL and working with structured data.
• Ability to analyze data flows, troubleshoot integration issues, and ensure data consistency.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with distributed engineering teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with OData, gRPC, WebSocket, or similar integration technologies.
• Experience with Node.js or JavaScript/TypeScript-based applications.
• Familiarity with modern web application architecture.
• Experience with engineering, industrial, or oil & gas software.
• Basic understanding of Angular-based applications would be a plus.
