About the Position
Analytics Engineer - Staffordshire, England
We are looking for a Mid-level Analytics Engineer to join our team in Staffordshire, focusing on Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. This role offers a Hybrid work location and a salary range of £35,000 to £45,000 GBP per year.
Responsibilities
- Implementing and maintaining enterprise-quality semantic models built in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
- Adapting and configuring pre-built reports and datasets for new customers
- Writing and optimizing DAX measures
- Troubleshooting issues like broken relationships, refresh problems, slow models, and logic mismatches
- Working with relational datasets delivered by the Data Engineering team (no pipeline building required)
- Managing deployment, workspaces, permissions, and RLS in the Power BI/Fabric service
- Supporting UAT, documentation, and releases
- Helping customers get the very best out of their analytics subscription
Requirements
- Around 3+ years of hands-on Power BI Desktop experience
- Strong DAX skills and confidence handling complex measures
- Solid understanding of star schemas, modelling, and evaluation context
- Good Power Query (M) knowledge
- Experience working with relational data sources
- Confidence managing Power BI Service/Fabric (workspaces, RLS, deployments)
- A methodical approach and a love for clean, scalable models
