About the Position

Analytics Engineer - Staffordshire, England

We are looking for a Mid-level Analytics Engineer to join our team in Staffordshire, focusing on Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. This role offers a Hybrid work location and a salary range of £35,000 to £45,000 GBP per year.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing and maintaining enterprise-quality semantic models built in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
  • Adapting and configuring pre-built reports and datasets for new customers
  • Writing and optimizing DAX measures
  • Troubleshooting issues like broken relationships, refresh problems, slow models, and logic mismatches
  • Working with relational datasets delivered by the Data Engineering team (no pipeline building required)
  • Managing deployment, workspaces, permissions, and RLS in the Power BI/Fabric service
  • Supporting UAT, documentation, and releases
  • Helping customers get the very best out of their analytics subscription

Requirements

  • Around 3+ years of hands-on Power BI Desktop experience
  • Strong DAX skills and confidence handling complex measures
  • Solid understanding of star schemas, modelling, and evaluation context
  • Good Power Query (M) knowledge
  • Experience working with relational data sources
  • Confidence managing Power BI Service/Fabric (workspaces, RLS, deployments)
  • A methodical approach and a love for clean, scalable models
