About the Role

As a Databricks Solution Architect at b.telligent, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions using Databricks in combination with one of the three hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, GCP) and developing standards for our clients.

Responsibilities

Design end-to-end solutions based on Databricks in combination with one of the three hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, GCP) and develop standards for your clients
Work closely with various colleagues, such as our Data Engineers and Data Architects, as well as our AWS/GCP/Azure professionals
Stay up-to-date with the feature roadmap of Databricks to provide optimal consulting for your clients
Optimize both performance and costs through your expertise in the optimal use of all Databricks functionalities
Join a rapidly growing b.telligent Databricks community with regular exchanges on new features, best practices, and challenging issues from client projects

Requirements

Passion for data and cloud solutions
Practical experience in building data platforms, data lakes, or data warehouses, preferably using Spark, Python, and SQL
Proficiency in Databricks, with valuable knowledge in areas such as infrastructure, workspace setup, and the underlying cloud
Ability to handle topics such as connecting source systems, designing a medallion architecture, or catering to different user personas
Familiarity with different architectural variants, such as Lakehouse, Lambda, or classical data warehouses
Good understanding of DevOps practices and experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present your ideas (in German and English) and make technical concepts accessible to a non-technical audience

Nice to Have

Experience with different architectural variants, such as Lakehouse, Lambda, or classical data warehouses
Good understanding of DevOps practices and experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
Proficiency in German and English
