Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
- Manage and support cloud database platforms, including Azure SQL Managed Instance and Google Cloud SQL.
- Perform database performance tuning and optimization.
- Manage database backup, recovery, and high-availability solutions.
- Develop and support ETL processes and real-time data integration.
- Contribute to projects involving IoT, Open Data, and information security.
- Participate in database migration and data platform modernization projects.
- Ensure database reliability, performance, availability, and security.
Requirements
- Higher education degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in database administration.
- Hands-on experience administering SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
- Knowledge of Azure SQL Managed Instance and Google Cloud SQL.
- Experience in performance tuning, backup and recovery, and high availability.
- Skills in ETL processes and real-time data integration.
- Experience participating in IoT, Open Data, and information security projects.
- Experience with database migration and data platform modernization.
- At least one of the following certifications:
- Microsoft Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300).
- PostgreSQL Certification.
- English proficiency at B1 level or higher, both written and spoken.
- Availability to work in a hybrid model, with 2 days per week at our Lisbon office.
