About the Position

Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) is more than a university. We are a leading educational and research center that combines academic excellence with real-world solutions for society, business, and government. We are looking for a Deputy Dean (Development) of the Faculty of Engineering School to help create a powerful educational ecosystem for future specialists in the field of unmanned technologies.

Responsibilities

Your role will be to drive the development of programs that combine academic quality, real needs of the defense sector, and industry innovations. You understand how to build educational trajectories, form faculty teams, and have a vision of how education can enhance the country's defense capabilities.

Development of Scientific Activities

• Collaborate with the Dean to form and implement the strategy for the development of the faculty's scientific direction.
• Initiate the creation of interdisciplinary research projects and involve faculty and students in scientific activities.
• Support the development of student research initiatives and create conditions for their implementation.

Funding and Grants

• Identify opportunities for attracting external funding - scientific grants, partnership programs, sponsorship support.
• Coordinate the preparation, submission, and implementation of faculty grant applications.
• Establish partnerships with organizations interested in supporting engineering research.

Organization of Scientific Events

• Initiate and coordinate the holding of scientific conferences, seminars, workshops, summer schools, and scientific meetings.
• Facilitate the participation of faculty and students in scientific events in Ukraine and abroad.
• Support the process of preparing and publishing scientific articles by faculty and students.

Quality and Integrity of Research

• Engage external experts to evaluate the scientific results of the faculty.
• Maintain a culture of academic integrity and ethical research.
• Develop recommendations for improving the quality of research work of faculty and students.

Communications and Partnerships

• Promote the scientific achievements of the faculty through official communication channels, publications, media, and events.
• Build effective cooperation with other faculties, research institutions, and external partners.
• Represent the faculty at scientific and educational events in Ukraine and abroad.

Requirements

• Higher technical or engineering education (aviation, mechatronics, electronics, control systems, IT, or related fields).
• Scientific degree in related or adjacent fields.
• Experience in higher education or in scientific/educational projects (preferred).
• Active scientific activity and understanding of modern trends in the field of engineering research.
• International educational and scientific experience (preferred).
• Experience in team management or coordination of educational programs (preferred).
• English language proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Knowledge of educational standards and principles of curriculum development.
• Project management and grant proposal preparation skills.
• Ability to work with international partners and educational institutions.
