About the Position
GOPA is seeking a Deputy Head of Mission to support operational and strategic management of the Climate Policy Support Programme in Morocco. This role involves institutional coordination with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, particularly the Budget Directorate and Climate Unit.
Responsibilities
- Support operational and strategic management
- Institutional coordination with the Ministry of Economy and Finance
- Supervise expert assignments
- Oversee technical and financial reports
Requirements
- Proven professional experience in project management in complex, multi-sectoral contexts
- Solid experience in climate, public governance, institutional coordination, or monitoring and evaluation
- In-depth knowledge of Moroccan administrative, political, and sectoral dynamics
- Advanced university degree (Master’s, engineering, or equivalent)
- Fluency in French (written and spoken)
Nice to Have
- International experience in reform programmes or development cooperation assignments
- Knowledge of Arabic or English
