Deputy Head of the Accounting Department

We are seeking a Deputy Head of the Accounting Department to collaborate closely with the department head for team management and strategic initiatives. This position involves improving processes, supporting managerial decisions, and utilizing modern technologies (AI, automation, BI) in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Head of the Accounting Department for team management
• Coordinate, mentor, and manage the accounting team
• Ensure the accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
• Supervise monthly and yearly closing processes
• Participate in digital transformation and process improvement projects
• Collaborate with other departments as an equal business partner
• Support external audits and communicate with auditors and consultants

Required Skills

• Leadership and team management experience
• Experience working in an international environment
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
• Knowledge of digital technologies and AI for process improvement and increasing reporting efficiency
• High proficiency in English; knowledge of German is a plus

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• MBA or professional certifications are a plus
