Responsibilities

• Work on challenging design problems and help others improve their designs by expanding and enhancing our in-house design system.
• Consult on bespoke design work needed by Product Engineers.
• Redesign our mobile web app by talking with customers, wireframing new flows, implementing its design system, and turning wireframes into a polished UI.
• Build a set of flexible, composable components in our design system.
• Help Product Engineers improve the information hierarchy and scannability of their designs.

Requirements

• Design: Excellent taste and execution in visual design.
• Engineering: Proficiency in both design and engineering with exceptional proficiency in the discipline you practice full-time.
• Experience designing products and shipping code to hundreds of users.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI-powered tooling and developer abstractions.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and deployment automation.

What Seniority/Level To Apply For

• Junior Design Engineer: No more than 2 years of industry experience as a designer or engineer.
• Design Engineer (This Posting): 2+ years of continuous experience as an Engineer or a Designer.
• Staff Design Engineer: Major contributions to a design system and designed and implemented features for hundreds of users.
