About the Position
Renesas is seeking a Design Verification Engineer（SoC機能検証エンジニア） to join our team in Kodaira, Japan. This role is pivotal in supporting the development of next-generation Physical AI-focused SoCs. Collaborate with our global development team to drive innovation and excellence in SoC features.
Responsibilities
- Functional Verification of industrial equipment and Physical AI-focused SoC products.
- Verification of Arm® CPU subsystems and AMBA Bus architecture.
- Validation of image input systems, including Camera Interface (MIPI CSI-2).
- Verification of image processing subsystems utilizing Graphics, Vision AI, and AI accelerators.
- Creation of Verification Plans, definition of verification items, and setup of verification environments.
- Promotion of Coverage Closure using Functional Coverage and Code Coverage.
- Collaboration with RTL design, physical design, and software teams.
Requirements

Required Skills:
- Experience with functional verification using SystemVerilog and UVM (or Specman).
- Experience in verifying digital circuits, SoCs, or IPs.
- Experience in simulation-based debugging and defect analysis.
- Experience in creating Verification Plans and verification scenarios.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English with global development teams and collaborate effectively.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in digital functional verification using SystemVerilog/UVM.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Cadence JasperGold, Synopsys VC Formal, and formal verification (FV) of digital RTL.
- Experience in verifying Arm® CPU subsystems.
- Knowledge and experience in verifying AMBA AXI/AHB/APB bus architectures.
- Experience in verifying Camera Interface (MIPI CSI-2).
- Experience in verifying Graphics IP, GPU, Vision AI, image recognition, and AI accelerators.
- Experience with Functional Coverage, Coverage Closure, and Regression management.
- Experience in global development environments.
