We are seeking a Developer, AI Applications to join our team in a remote role with occasional travel to Germany, focusing on AI-based application development and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Development & Implementation

• Design, development, and maintenance of API-based AI services (REST)
• Implementation of backend logic in Python
• Development and integration of microservices
• Integration with downstream systems and data sources
• Ensuring code quality through testing and code reviews

Containerization & Deployment

• Containerization of services using Docker / Podman
• Creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, optionally GitLab CI/CD)
• Deployment and operation on container platforms (OpenShift / Kubernetes)
• Automation of build, test, and release processes

Technical Analysis & Quality

• Troubleshooting and issue resolution across various system components
• Analysis of logs and runtime behavior
• Ensuring maintainability, scalability, and performance
• Compliance with code and quality standards (e.g. via SonarQube)

Coordination & Collaboration

• Coordination with frontend, infrastructure, and other development teams
• Contribution to architecture and design decisions
• Technical documentation (e.g. in Confluence)
• Effort estimation and task processing (e.g. in Jira)

Requirements

Must Have

• English (written and spoken)
• Python – solid development experience
• REST – design and implementation of REST APIs
• Containerization – Docker / Podman
• Git – version-controlled development
• Jenkins – CI/CD pipelines

Should Have (non-blocking)

• Experience in banking/insurance industry
• Bash
• OpenShift / Kubernetes
• GitLab CI/CD
• FastAPI
• Microservices experience
• Kafka basics
• Redis basics

Could Have

• AI knowledge
