Developer - AS400

About the Position

We are seeking a Developer - AS400 with 3-5 years of experience in Core Banking, Payments, or Remittance systems to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will be working in a newly set-up technology center as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Remittance and Payments applications on AS400.
• Support payment processing systems including cross-border and domestic payment transactions.
• Develop solutions using RPG and COBOL on the AS400 platform.
• Support SWIFT Telegraphic Transfers (TT), Demand Drafts, and Cashier's Orders.
• Support Local RTGS, GIRO, FAST, PayNow, and real-time payment systems.
• Perform impact analysis, coding, testing, and deployment activities.
• Support production incidents, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Integrate applications using MQ, SFTP, and Direct Connect technologies.
• Participate in SIT, UAT, and production deployment activities.
• Support application migration and release management using ALDON.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver payment-related enhancements.

Requirements

• Must have
  • 3-5 years of experience in Core Banking, Payments, or Remittance systems.
  • Strong AS400 development experience.
  • Hands-on experience in RPG and COBOL.
  • Experience with DB2 database.
  • Strong knowledge of Remittance and Payment systems.
  • Experience supporting:
    • SWIFT Telegraphic Transfer (TT)
    • Demand Draft (DD)
    • Cashier's Order (CO)
    • Local RTGS payments
    • GIRO payments
    • FAST payments
    • PayNow / Real-time payment systems
  • Experience with MQ messaging.
  • Experience with SFTP.
  • Experience with Direct Connect integrations.
  • Experience with ALDON deployment tool.
  • Strong understanding of payment transaction lifecycle and banking operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
