As a Development Architect SAP TM (m/w/d), you will take on technical responsibility in challenging customer projects related to SAP Transportation Management. You will develop robust technical blueprints, steer complex development requirements, and ensure that architecture, quality, and feasibility align from the outset.

You will not only be involved in implementation but also serve as a technical contact person with an overview. You will combine deep SAP TM know-how with architectural understanding, integration competence, and a clear quality standard. Together with project teams, developers, and customers, you will create solutions that are technically sound and functional in everyday project life.

Responsibilities

• You will take on technical responsibility for demanding customer projects in the SAP TM environment, manage the development area in the overall project, and set the architectural direction for implementation.
• You will accompany projects through all phases, from technical conception and solution architecture through implementation to go-live and the hypercare phase, and create reliable development and time schedules.
• You will advise our customers on the technical implementation of requirements, evaluate technical options considering the existing IT infrastructure, and develop robust solutions for complex requirements in the SAP TM context.
• You will identify technological risks early, ensure the consistency of the solution architecture, and ensure that requirements, quality, maintainability, and feasibility align in development.
• You will lead the developer team technically in the project, support challenging development packages, manage active requirements and stakeholder management, and establish reliable reporting to the project management.
• You will design integration scenarios with adjacent SAP and non-SAP systems, especially with SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP EWM, and think solutions across systems with an eye on scalability and future viability.
• You will plan resources and budgets in your area of responsibility, identify suitable leogistics products and services for customers, develop new impulses for existing markets, and actively pass on expertise through training and communities.

Requirements

• You have successfully completed a technical degree or equivalent qualification and have several years of experience in designing SAP architectures.
• You have solid experience in the SAP TM environment and are familiar with relevant technical frameworks and extension approaches, such as BOPF, BRF+, PPF, CDS, Web Dynpro, FPM, and common integration mechanisms in the SAP environment. These technologies remain relevant in the TM context; at the same time, it is beneficial to consider modern extension models.
• You have accompanied several projects through all project phases and have a pronounced understanding of technical overall contexts, integrations, and cross-system solution architectures.
• You design technical solution architectures in the logistics environment with an eye for scalability, expandability, quality, and long-term maintainability.
• You enjoy diving into new technologies and combine classic SAP TM development with modern approaches, such as in the areas of APIs, OData, RAP, or cloud-based extension scenarios, where it makes sense technically and professionally.
• You communicate clearly and on an equal footing, can confidently manage international development teams technically in German and English, and enjoy sharing knowledge and developing technical excellence in the team.
• You actively bring technological and architectural innovations into our projects, presales activities, and internal communities and develop our technical standards.
