About the Role

We are seeking a Development Coordinator to assist Directors and Development Managers in all facets of the land development process in Toronto, ON, Canada. This role involves providing administrative support, managing multiple ongoing projects, and ensuring a high level of accuracy in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, submitting, and obtaining various permits and approvals for projects.
• Track the status of all applications and submissions.
• Organize and prepare for team meetings, including taking minutes and updating project status reports.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to provide necessary materials and updates.
• Assist in the due diligence process for prospective acquisitions/sales.
• Provide support for Joint Venture partnerships.
• Maintain information flow within the team through regular reporting, scheduling, and meetings.
• Prepare demographic, competitor, and market information as required.
• Coordinate the provision, reduction, and retrieval of letters of credit.
• Develop market knowledge and track the status of applications related to neighboring properties.
• Anticipate potential issues and take a proactive approach in all facets of the role.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Urban Planning, Urban Land Economics, or a related field.
• 1-3 years’ experience in a real estate-related field.
• Excellent organizational abilities.
• Ability to multitask, self-manage, and prioritize work.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience with Acrobat or Illustrator is an asset.
