Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of experience in cloud, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) to join our team. This role offers remote work options and is based in Armenia, Cyprus, or Poland.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud and on-premises infrastructure and services.
  • Design, document, and continuously improve infrastructure architecture and operational processes.
  • Manage and maintain Cloudflare services, including DNS, CDN, WAF, and SSL/TLS configurations.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, performance, and security of production infrastructure.
  • Monitor system health, investigate incidents, and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and application reliability.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to software engineers on infrastructure and DevOps best practices.
  • Participate in infrastructure planning, capacity planning, and architecture design for new projects.
  • Automate operational tasks and continuously improve infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • Container orchestration: Kubernetes, Helm, and AWS EKS.
  • Cloud: AWS (VPC, EC2, IAM, EBS, RDS, S3, Route 53).
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform.
  • Configuration management: Ansible.
  • DNS, CDN, and WAF: Cloudflare.
  • Monitoring and observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Tempo.
  • CI/CD and GitOps: GitLab CI/CD, Argo CD.
  • Version control: Git, GitLab, and GitHub.
  • Scripting: Bash and Python.
  • Linux administration: Debian and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
  • Experience operating and supporting production Kubernetes environments.
  • Experience supporting high-load, highly available production systems.
  • Experience designing scalable and highly available infrastructure.
  • Experience with incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and postmortems.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, DNS).
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
  • Understanding of software architecture principles, system design patterns (e.g., Twelve-Factor App), and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with OpenStack, HashiCorp Vault, and Terragrunt.
