DevOps Engineer (Java/Groovy Background)

About the Company

Join our international product company with German capital, specializing in creating modern solutions for corporate banking. We develop our own products used by the largest banks in Europe, supporting the digitalization of business processes and integration with banking systems. Our software operates in client environments, while internal teams focus on product development, process automation, and delivering new functionalities without maintaining banks' production environments.

Be part of the System Integration team, responsible for developing a platform supporting the software production process and CI/CD automation for products used by international banks. This position is designed for individuals with a development background (Java/Groovy) who want to expand their skills in DevOps and modern infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Designing, developing, and maintaining advanced CI/CD solutions.
Participating in the design and development of high-performance, secure, and critical systems for international banking institutions.
Collaborating with experienced IT specialists and banking experts in an international environment.
Enhancing your skills by working with modern technologies and exchanging knowledge with an experienced team.
Proposing improvements and implementing your own ideas that impact product and process development.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

Has a development background and wants to grow in the DevOps field.
Understands the software production process and collaboration with development teams.

Key Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in programming using languages such as Java or Groovy, particularly in creating and developing CI/CD pipelines.
Professional experience working with the Linux system.
Professional experience working with containerized software and tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Very good knowledge of the English language in speech and writing (min. B2, C1 preferred) – daily work in an international environment.
Sense of responsibility for tasks – an 'ownership' attitude.
Proactive approach, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
Openness to collaborating with Product Owners and client teams.
Higher education in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to Have:

Professional experience as a DevOps Engineer.
Practical knowledge of: Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, OpenShift, Grafana, Elasticsearch.
Knowledge of the German language.

A. Maintaining the Power Media Candidate Database and conducting recruitment processes: creating your profile in the candidate database, evaluating qualifications, matching your candidacy with our clients' job offers (including the recruitment you are applying for), and maintaining contact.
Legal basis: Your voluntary consent to be included in the candidate database (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).
Retention period: 24 months from the date of application or until you withdraw your consent earlier.

B. Formal verification of candidate availability with the Client: providing the Client with minimal data (e.g., name and surname) to exclude situations where you have previously applied to that Client or with another agency.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest of ours and the Client's (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) to verify the absence of disputes and avoid duplicate applications.
Retention period: For the time necessary to complete the verification.

C. Submission of the full application to a specific Employer: sending your CV to a selected Client after verifying their identity and obtaining your confirmation of interest in participating in the process with that specific employer.
Legal basis: Your separate consent indicating the specific employer by name (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).
Retention period: Until the application is submitted to the Client (further retention by the Client is governed by its own personal data protection policy).

D. Defense against claims and dispute resolution: legal protection of the Company related to the provision of recruitment services.
Legal basis: Our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
Retention period: Until the limitation period for any claims arising from the law expires.

**Voluntary nature of data provision:**

Providing personal data is entirely voluntary but necessary to register a profile in the Power Media Candidate Database and present your candidacy to potential employers. You can withdraw your consent at any time (e.g., by sending an email to [email protected]), which does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before its withdrawal.

**Data recipients:**

Your personal data may be disclosed to:

1. Agency Clients (Potential Employers): to the minimum extent (name and surname) to verify the absence of duplicate applications (based on our legitimate interest), and in full CV format – only after disclosing the full name of the Client to you and obtaining separate consent. Once full data is transferred, the Client becomes the independent controller of your personal data.
2. Technology service providers: entities processing data on our behalf (e.g., recruitment management system providers – ATS, hosting, and email).
3. Public authorities: institutions authorized by law.

**Candidate rights**

You have the right to access your data, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing, data portability, objection to processing based on legitimate interest, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.

**Profiling and international transfers**

As part of the candidate database, the Company may use ancillary profiling (assessment of skills, education, and experience against the criteria specified in client job offers). This profiling does not produce legal effects or fully automated decisions towards you (the final decision to contact you is always made by a recruiter). Your personal data will not be transferred to third countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
