About the Position
Join elastic.io as a DevOps Engineer to manage and automate infrastructure deployment, improve your English, and work with a global team. Our hybrid Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) ensures real-time data sync across disparate cloud-based and on-premise applications, platforms, and databases.
Responsibilities
- Development, improvement, and automation of infrastructure deployment/updates (Terraform, Ansible)
- Daily administration operations like monitoring and backups
- Managing current CI/CD process and automating further updates
- Maintaining/tuning of ~10 installations and installing new ones
- Daily supporting and cooperating with the development team and their issues
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of Linux internals
- Good practice with scripting in shell/python
- Cloud platforms and bare-metal virtualization experience
- Experience with managing Kubernetes clusters
- Good analytics and troubleshooting skills, habit of diving to the roots
- Strong command of English (at least on a strong intermediate level)
Nice to Have
- Being well-versed in computer networks
- Experience of building/supporting globally distributed systems
- Experience with technologies of our internal stack and/or their alternatives

Tech Stack
- Main platform components: Docker + K8s, Prometheus, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Graylog, Clickhouse
- Platform built on microservices using Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript and some GoLang)
- Infrastructure managed by Terraform and Ansible; Kubernetes uses ksonnet, soon switching to helm
- Minor components: Nginx, OpenVPN, IPSec (Strongswan), fluentd, HAproxy, docker-registry, cadvisor, grafana
