Join us as a DevOps Engineer

Job Description

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing our distributed transactional systems infrastructure. You will solve technological problems to ensure their smooth and uninterrupted operation. Your task will be to help in the further development, maintenance, and scaling of systems, as well as support the integration process with global exchange systems.

Freedom of Action: We give you autonomy, but also the responsibility that comes with it. You can choose your working mode – 100% remotely or in the office. And the form of cooperation – UoP or B2B. We also have some flexibility in terms of working hours.
Ambitious Challenges: You will deal with a huge amount of data processed at a speed of less than a millisecond and hundreds of financial instruments that we trade daily on global crypto markets. We have three data centers in the cloud (Frankfurt, Singapore, Ohio), and our platform is supported by 800 processors with 2.5 TB of RAM. During peak traffic, the platform processes 2TB of trading algorithm logs daily, including 4 million messages per minute (market data, financial transactions, business logs), and when it gets bored, it processes 2 million and does it continuously, without interruption :) Our data warehouse with a current capacity of 25 TB already has 10 TB of data.
Good Practices: We take practices seriously: Clean code – after all, DevOps is also Development, and GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, Configuration as Code – thanks to them, we effectively automate our work.

The Prometheus monitoring system is our command center, where we try to find out about an impending failure before our users inform us.

Scope of Your Tasks:

Developing codes and scripts to streamline processes, including monitoring and configuration
Conducting deployment processes in various environments
Configuring new environments or applications for different groups as needed
Assisting in production support operations when necessary
Managing configurations for connections with external systems (e.g., crypto exchanges) and resolving related issues when necessary

Required Experience:

Good knowledge of Ansible
Experience in maintaining various software components: application servers, databases, messaging middleware
Experience with Docker
Good knowledge of the Linux operating system
Knowledge of monitoring solutions and centralized log servers
Customer-oriented attitude
Communicative English

Nice to Have

Experience with: Java-based software, PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, Apache Cassandra, Apache Kafka, Hadoop/HDFS, Apache Spark or similar, Terraform
Knowledge of leading cloud infrastructures: AWS, Azure, GCP
Experience with cluster management solutions such as Kubernetes, Apache Mesos
Knowledge of Python programming language
