About the Position
DevOps MSSQL Administrator (Operation & Automation)
ING Hubs Poland is hiring a DevOps MSSQL Administrator for our IT Engineering team in Warsaw, Poland. The expected salary for this position is 12,000 - 16,000 PLN gross.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain MS SQL Server and Windows server environments.
- Automate tasks and manage CI/CD pipelines using PowerShell, Python, Azure DevOps, and Stonebranch UAC.
- Ensure security compliance, manage access rights, and perform patching and audits.
- Handle tickets (L1/L2 triage), communicate in English, and manage SLA/SLO.
- Plan and implement changes (CHG), including in production environments; maintain documentation and runbooks.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration in a production environment.
- Practical knowledge of SQL Server 2016/2019/2022, including backup/restore, permissions, maintenance, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Experience with high availability mechanisms, especially Always On Availability Groups and WSFC.
- Good knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and core infrastructure services: AD, DNS, GPO, certificates, and service accounts.
- PowerShell skills and experience in automating administrative tasks.
- Ability to diagnose application and database-related issues, including log analysis, connectivity problems, service errors, and performance issues.
- Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools, such as SCOM, Elastic Stack, Kibana, Grafana, Open Telemetry, Prometheus, or similar.
- Experience in handling incidents, problems, and changes in a production environment.
- Knowledge of security best practices for SQL Server and Windows Server.
- Independence, attention to detail, accountability, and good technical communication skills.
- Speak English at B2+ level and be open to shift work and on-call duties.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Stonebranch UAC, Azure DevOps, and data orchestration tools.
- Knowledge of Active Directory/GPO/DNS/DHCP, IIS.
- Familiarity with Microsoft HPC Pack, SCOM.
