About the Position

Digital Assets Compliance Engineer

  • REQ-10120013
  • 19.08.2026
  • IT Engineering
  • Istanbul, Turkiye
  • ING Hubs

As an On-Chain Compliance Engineer, you will design, build, integrate, and operate technology capabilities that enable ING to monitor, assess, and control compliance risks in digital asset activities.

You will work at the intersection of software engineering, financial crime compliance, AML/CFT, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, Travel Rule requirements, data engineering, and regulatory technology.

Your mission is to help ING detect and prevent financial crime risks linked to digital assets by creating scalable, automated, explainable, and auditable compliance controls for on-chain activity.

This is a hands-on engineering role with strong compliance awareness. You are not expected to be a pure compliance officer, but you should understand how regulatory obligations translate into technical controls, data models, APIs, alerting workflows, case management, and evidence trails.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement technology capabilities for monitoring and controlling compliance risks in digital asset activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance controls into on-chain activities.
  • Develop scalable, automated, explainable, and auditable compliance controls.
  • Ensure adherence to AML/CFT, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and Travel Rule requirements.
  • Work with blockchain analytics platforms and regulatory technology to enhance compliance monitoring.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Cyber Security, Mathematics, Finance Technology, or a related field.
  • Equivalent hands-on experience may also be considered.

Nice to Have

  • Blockchain, digital assets, AML, sanctions, or financial crime-related certifications.
  • Experience with blockchain analytics platforms such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic, Merkle Science, Scorechain, Crystal, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of DeFi protocols, decentralized exchanges, mixers, bridges, privacy-enhancing tools, and smart contract risk.
  • Experience with graph analytics, network analysis, entity resolution, anomaly detection, or machine learning for fraud/AML use cases.

We Offer

  • Flexible hybrid working model
  • Remote working opportunities throughout August
  • Training budget and Udemy partnership
  • Comprehensive health insurance for you and your family
  • Private Pension Plan
  • Meal Card
  • Transportation Allowance
  • MultiSport Membership
  • English Language Development Support
  • Innovation culture powered by PACE methodology
  • Regular communication activities and celebrations
