We are looking for a Digital Innovation Specialist (PhD) to join our team at Unipartner Digital Lab in Lisbon. As a Digital Innovation Specialist, you’ll be a key driver of digital transformation. Your work will go beyond theory. From researching emerging tech trends and building business cases to developing proof of concepts that turn ideas into solutions.

You will explore and evaluate emerging technologies like AI, automation, and advanced analytics. Design digital architectures and prototype future-ready solutions. Build business cases that connect innovation with real business value.

Work hands-on in an agile, fast-paced environment where experimentation is encouraged. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to co-create impactful solutions with clients.

Responsibilities

• Explore disruptive technologies and market trends that shape the future of Unipartner’s portfolio.
• Support R&D initiatives and digital transformation programs.
• Research new technologies, methodologies, and innovation opportunities.
• Structure and present ideas using Design Thinking approaches.
• Evaluate tools and technologies through quick-win prototypes.
• Develop custom software for proof-of-concepts, including mobile/web apps, user-centric platforms, data-driven solutions, and AI-powered applications.

Requirements

• Azure Platform Development: Hands-on experience across multiple Azure services, including Web & Mobile, Data, Analytics, and more.
• Web Development: Solid proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, with experience in modern, responsive JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, and Node.js. Familiar with both SOAP and REST web services.
• Artificial Intelligence: Strong command of Python and its leading AI/ML libraries and frameworks. Sound knowledge of machine learning concepts, generative AI, and best practices for ethical and responsible use of data.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile environments, applying iterative development practices and collaborative team dynamics.
• Architecture & Analysis: Proven ability in both functional and technical analysis, along with the design of robust technical architectures for scalable solutions.
• Advanced Research Methodologies: Strong foundation in quantitative and qualitative research methods, with the ability to apply these approaches to innovation and experimentation.
• Data Analysis & Modeling: Skilled in advanced statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining techniques, enabling insightful and data-driven decision-making.
