We are seeking a Deputy Country Director for various locations to support Acted's mission.
Responsibilities
Principal Responsibilities:

Positioning and Fundraising
- Analysis of the context;
- Development and deployment of the strategy;
- Networking, positioning, and general representation;
- Relationship with donors and development of project proposals;
- Advocacy: (Co-)producing strategic notes, advocacy notes, relevant press releases on humanitarian and development issues.
- Communication: Supervising and ensuring the production, within deadlines, of external communication elements in terms of programming, methods, and critical issues.
- Promotion of Acted's sister organizations;

Internal Management and Coordination
- Team management;
- Internal coordination;
- Crisis/conflict management;
- Setting up and training a crisis team within the country;

Monitoring the Implementation of Projects
- Project implementation and monitoring;
- Grant management;
- Quality control of projects;
- Partner management;

FLATS Management
- Financial management;
- Logistics & IT management;
- HR and Administration management;
- Monitoring external audits;
- Transparency/Compliance management;
- Security management;
- Legalization and registration follow-up.
Requirements
- Higher education (Master's degree);
- Writing skills;
- At least 3 years of management experience abroad;
- Knowledge of the area is an asset;
- Very strong organizational skills;
- Experience in managing large teams, both national and international;
- Experience in project management, particularly with an institutional component;
- Experience in community participation, liaison with local authorities;
- Skills in management and administration;
- Flexibility, adaptation, resistance to stress;
- Patience and negotiation spirit, excellent written and oral communication skills.
We Offer
- Salary to be discussed according to Acted's salary scale based on education level, expertise, security level, and experience level.
- Monthly living expenses allowance of $300.
- Accommodation in a guesthouse and meals covered by Acted.
- Social security, health insurance (MSH), and repatriation assistance (SOS International) covered by Acted.
- Visa fees covered by Acted.
- Possible rest and recuperation every 2 or 3 months (airfare covered up to $500 + additional allowance of $200) depending on the context.
- One week of preparation for departure including 4 days of immersive security training.
- Possibility of a 30-minute call with a tax consultant.
- Psychological support (appointment with a professional).
