About the Position
We're looking for a Director, Applied AI Transformation – Manufacturing & Industrial (m/f/d) to join our team across Europe in a hybrid or remote working mode. In this role, you will lead large-scale AI and agentic transformation programs for global manufacturing and industrial enterprises, acting as a strategic advisor to C-suite executives and driving measurable business value through applied AI innovation.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute applied AI and agentic transformation strategies for manufacturing and industrial clients
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on AI adoption and digital transformation initiatives
- Lead presales efforts including shaping opportunities, building business cases and supporting origination activities
- Facilitate ideation workshops to translate operational and business challenges into actionable AI use cases
- Drive enterprise-wide AI adoption by identifying high-value opportunities and leading change management
- Lead cross-functional delivery teams to design, develop and deploy AI and multi-agent systems at scale
- Maintain hands-on expertise with large language models, agent orchestration platforms and AI ecosystems across major labs and hyperscalers
- Ensure AI solutions meet compliance, scalability and security standards across regulated manufacturing processes
- Mentor EPAM and client teams to build internal AI capabilities and accelerate adoption
- Monitor industry trends and represent EPAM as a thought leader in manufacturing and industrial AI transformation
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing and industrial sectors with a proven track record in business transformation or large-scale technology programs
- Strong understanding of ERP landscapes, process automation, compliance and operational workflows including supply chain, production and maintenance
- Proven experience advising C-suite executives and designing AI adoption strategies for complex organizations
- Practical experience with applied AI including large language models, RAG frameworks and multi-agent systems
- Familiarity with major AI labs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft) and hyperscaler ecosystems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Ability to shape business cases and convert transformational AI opportunities in presales contexts
- Leadership experience managing global, cross-functional teams in regulated environments
- Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business; MBA preferred
- Ability to travel as required
