About the Role

As Director Facility Europe (m/w/d), you will define and steer our European facility management strategy, ensuring operational excellence, business continuity, and sustainable growth at all our locations.

You will be responsible for a broad and diverse portfolio, consisting of:

3 large logistics and distribution centers
3 regional warehouse locations
Our headquarters
Around 8 other office locations in Europe

Additionally, you will take on the strategic leadership of our Technical Engineering organization. The operational management of this area is handled by the Head of Technical Engineering, who reports directly to you.

While this area is responsible for the maintenance of our conveyor systems and automation, your focus will be on leadership, governance, prioritization, and organizational development – not on technical execution.

This is a senior leadership position with a strong focus on strategy, people management, governance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Development and implementation of a forward-looking European facility management strategy that supports company growth, operational resilience, and sustainability.
Leadership and development of our international facility management organization. You will strengthen local teams while establishing clear governance structures and responsibilities.
Ensuring efficient and compliant operations of our logistics sites, warehouses, headquarters, and office locations.
Strategic steering and leadership of the Technical Engineering department to ensure clear alignment with company priorities and goals.
Managing and optimizing a budget in the tens of millions of euros (CAPEX & OPEX). You will ensure financial transparency, high supplier performance, and long-term investment planning.
Developing meaningful KPIs, reporting standards, and governance structures to continuously improve performance at all locations.
Acting as a trusted business partner for senior stakeholders from Operations, Logistics, HR, Finance, and Executive Management.

Requirements

At least 10 years of experience in international facility management, ideally in logistics, warehousing, production, or an industrial environment.
Proven experience in a strategic leadership position with responsibility for multiple international locations.
Extensive experience in leading large teams and in building and developing high-performing organizations.
Experience in managing budgets in the tens of millions of euros and managing complex supplier structures.
Structured and strategic mindset with the ability to build scalable processes and governance structures.
Willingness and ability to travel regularly between our European locations and work in Sevenum.
Fluency in English is required. German or Dutch skills are a plus.
