Director of Business Development

To accelerate our growth in the Netherlands, we're looking for an experienced Business Development Director who brings and builds executive relationships, shapes strategic opportunities, and closes large-scale transformation programs leveraging our local and near & offshore hubs.
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), you will play a pivotal and visible role in one of Xebia's strategic growth markets.
This is not a traditional sales role. You will engage CAIOs, CIOs, CTOs, CFO’s, CEOs, and business leaders on some of their most critical transformation challenges, helping them leverage AI to drive growth, productivity, resilience, and competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
- Build new business, leverage and develop strategic enterprise relationships, and drive long-term account growth by shaping and winning large-scale transformation programs across the Dutch market.
- Originate, shape, and close complex transformation programs typically valued between €5M and €10M+.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders, helping them reimagine operating and business models, value chains, and competitive positioning through AI-driven transformation.
- Leverage Xebia's local consulting expertise and global nearshore and offshore delivery centers to deliver transformation at scale.
- Position Xebia's AI-native capabilities including Agentic Enterprise, Agentic Data, and AI-Led Engineering as strategic enablers of business transformation.
- Collaborate with strategic partners including Microsoft, AWS, Google, Salesforce, and Databricks to drive growth.
- Own revenue, margin, delivery quality, and client impact end-to-end.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in consulting sales, enterprise sales, technology services, or digital transformation.
- Proven success in winning and growing strategic enterprise accounts.
- Experience acting as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, including CIOs, CTOs, and CEOs.
- Strong existing network with access to senior decision-makers in large enterprises (C-suite and equivalent).
- Track record of shaping and closing large transformation opportunities, including €10M+ engagements.
- Demonstrated experience in selling complex solutions involving nearshore and offshore delivery models.
- The ability to discuss AI with business leaders from strategy through execution and translate technology into measurable business value.
