About the Position
We are seeking a Director of Civil Engineering to manage and oversee civil engineering projects during the execution phase at TMC in Rotterdam, Netherlands. You will represent the client in the project, ensuring quality, planning, and safety while monitoring the contract. Additionally, you will maintain close contact with contractors, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee civil engineering projects during the execution phase.
- Represent the client in the project, ensuring quality, planning, and safety.
- Monitor the contract and maintain close contact with contractors, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
- Work on diverse projects, such as road construction, sewer replacements, quay walls, hydraulic engineering structures, or area development.
Requirements
- Proficiency in the Dutch language at C1/C2 level, both spoken and written.
- A completed bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a similar field.
- A minimum of 3 to 8 years of experience in a role as project manager, supervisor, or work planner within GWW.
- Knowledge of UAV(-GC), RAW methodology, and execution processes.
- Attention to quality, safety, and process control.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt at various levels.
- Independent, decisive, and always detail-oriented while keeping an eye on the bigger picture.
