About the Position

Director Rental Operations (New York)

We are seeking a Director of Rental Operations to join our team in New York. This role is pivotal in leading multi-site operations across high-density areas in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts. You will report directly to the Regional Vice President and play a key role in shaping our growth strategy for 2027.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth through revenue management, incremental sales, and fleet utilization.
• Coach and develop Branch Managers, General Managers, and Area Managers to achieve P&L results and enhance customer experiences.
• Implement the Daily Game Plan discipline, ensure corporate identity compliance, and monitor regional KPIs.
• Maintain service quality and resolve escalations to elevate customer experience standards.
• Enforce operational and security standards, improve labor efficiency, and protect the business against loss.
• Champion technology improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

Requirements

• Multi-Unit Leadership: 7+ years of operations leadership with direct P&L accountability in car rental, hospitality, retail, or logistics.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Experience with operational KPIs such as utilization, revenue per day, incremental revenue per day, out-of-service vehicles, labor efficiency, and customer experience scores.
• Talent Development: Experience in building and developing manager-level talent and growing people into their next roles.
• Education & Authorization: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent operating experience), authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, 18+, and a valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Market Presence: Comfortable with a hands-on, in-market role requiring travel to locations.
