About the Position

Director Tech Transaction Advisory / Strategy (m/f/d)

OMMAX GmbH is seeking a Director Tech Transaction Advisory / Strategy to lead international technology, IT, and AI due diligence projects for private equity investors, corporates, and portfolio companies. This role involves assessing complex IT landscapes, conducting AI due diligence, and developing technology roadmaps and post-transaction strategies.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of international technology, IT, and AI due diligence projects in buy-side and sell-side transactions.
• Assess complex IT landscapes with regard to architecture, infrastructure, scalability, maintainability, cybersecurity, compliance, and operational performance.
• Conduct AI due diligence assessments and evaluate AI maturity, data strategies, technical feasibility, as well as innovation and value creation potential.
• Identify technical risks, tech debt, and optimization opportunities across platforms, data landscapes, and vendor ecosystems and develop corresponding technology roadmaps and post-transaction strategies.
• Collaborate closely with commercial, digital, and financial due diligence teams to enable integrated transaction assessments and value creation initiatives.
• Present findings and strategic recommendations to C-level executives, investment committees, and technical stakeholders.
• Lead project teams, coordinate internal and external stakeholders, and actively support the development and scaling of the team.
• Contribute to sales and pitching activities, develop new services aligned with emerging technology and AI trends, and represent OMMAX in strategic client interactions.

Requirements

• Outstanding degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related technical field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience in technology due diligence, IT consulting, digital strategy, or technology M&A advisory.
• Proven experience working with private equity firms, investors, or companies in transaction-related environments.
• Deep expertise in modern IT architectures, cloud environments, software development processes, and AI technologies.
• Experience assessing IT service providers, technology vendors, and outsourced service models from both technical and commercial perspectives.
• Familiarity with ERP, CRM, and data platform landscapes and understanding requirements around system integration, scalability, and IT operating models.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to translate technical findings into investment-relevant conclusions and strategic recommendations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and engage confidently with C-level executives, investment professionals, and technical stakeholders.
• Very strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with architecture modeling tools, data-flow mapping, or code assessments is a plus.
• Fluent in English; additional local language skills are a plus.
