About the Position
We are seeking a Director/Senior Director of Technical Delivery Management to lead large-scale, complex programs in Dublin, Ireland. This role involves driving cutting-edge technology solutions for clients in the Financial Services sector.
Responsibilities
- Take accountability for the overall technical program execution, including end-to-end delivery, client satisfaction and alignment with business and technical strategy
- Set and manage clear expectations with both internal teams and clients, ensuring transparency and excellence in delivery
- Work closely with design, development, and technology teams to build strong cross-functional relationships that bridge business and technical needs
- Actively foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement by taking a hands-on leadership approach when necessary
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic technical insights and solutions to enable their long-term business success
- Oversee and ensure seamless coordination across multiple activity streams spanning project scoping, financial management, sourcing, implementation and delivery of business outcomes
- Drive alignment between teams to maintain quality, timeliness and consistency across all engagements
- Partner with multi-disciplinary teams to lead key planning activities, including developing accurate estimates, creating comprehensive delivery plans and conducting retrospectives to identify process improvements
- Identify, assess and mitigate risks across all delivery activities while escalating critical challenges that could impact timelines, quality or client satisfaction
- Engage in the pre-sales lifecycle, contributing to the preparation of client proposals, solution architecture design, delivery roadmaps and statements of work
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience that demonstrates a deep understanding of the role and its responsibilities
- Demonstrated success as a technology delivery leader with a consistent track record of overseeing and driving the delivery of large-scale, complex and long-term solutions on time and within budget
- Strong background in software development, engineering or solution architecture, with the ability to combine technical expertise with managerial and strategic leadership to realise project objectives
- Extensive experience delivering technology solutions in the banking and financial services industry, with a particular focus on mobile or digital banking platforms
- Deep familiarity with open banking APIs, payment systems and mobile wallet integrations and their role in modern financial ecosystems
- In-depth understanding of critical banking regulations, compliance frameworks (e.g., PSD2, GDPR, PCI-DSS) and industry-standard security protocols essential for mobile financial applications
- Hands-on experience with serverless architectures supporting mobile applications, leveraging platforms like AWS Amplify, Firebase, Azure Mobile Apps or Supabase
- Proven ability to establish and foster trusted relationships across all levels of client organisations, from engineering teams to C-suite executives
- Skilled at bridging high-level strategic objectives with deep technical insights, tailoring communication to various audiences to drive alignment on both short-term goals and long-term vision
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-complexity projects simultaneously, spanning initiation to delivery, while prioritising tasks effectively and navigating the challenges of geographically distributed delivery teams
- Passionate about empowering others through coaching and mentorship, with a proven track record of developing others into high-performing teams
