About the Position

Netflix is seeking a Distributed Systems Engineer 5 for their Data Platform team in Poland, focusing on building scalable distributed data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Take end-to-end ownership of internal data platform products, including ZooKeeper.
Ensure reliability, scalability, and evolution of data platform infrastructure.
Build and maintain data systems for A/B testing and experimentation.
Develop self-service tooling and support AI-driven monitoring and analysis workflows.
Build and own connectors for moving and integrating data across business domains.
Develop automated systems integration test frameworks for batch and streaming connectors.
Lead cross-functional initiatives with engineers, product managers, and technical managers.
Share experiences with open source communities and contribute to Netflix OSS.

Requirements

7 or more years of experience designing and building complex, scalable distributed data infrastructure.
Proficiency in Java, C++, Python, or Scala, with strong understanding of multi-threading and memory management.
Experience with the Spark platform is valuable.
Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining impactful distributed systems.
Experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
Educational or professional background in computer science, engineering, or related fields.
