About the Position

Distribution Technician - 3rd Shift

McCormick & Company, Incorporated, a global leader in flavor, is seeking a Distribution Technician for our Regional Distribution Center in Byhalia, MS. This role involves picking, packing, and shipping customer orders accurately and timely while operating material handling equipment. The position requires cross-training in multiple activity groups and may involve temperature extremes and overtime on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Perform assignments in one of the following activity groups: Order Selection, Replenishment, Inbound, Outbound, Returns, Organizer, Repack/Hazmat.
• Operate transporter, stand-up, reach, or sit-down forklift.
• Complete all paperwork and system transactions in accordance with standard departmental operating procedures.
• Identify and communicate issues to shift crew leader, warehouse supervisor, team manager.
• Attend shift/team meetings and recommend general process improvements.
• Perform general duties including sanitation and battery changing.

Requirements

• Education: GED required; basic math, reading, and speaking skills.
• Certifications: Forklift License required; SAP Transactions/Process Training and Basic MS Windows experience preferred.
• Skills: Basic Math, Calculator, Specialized PC Applications, Typing, Data Entry.
