Drone Assembly Engineer

About the Position

We are TAF Industries, a military-tech company that manufactures and develops military technologies ranging from FPV drones and loitering munitions to missiles and artificial intelligence systems for aerial reconnaissance. We are looking for a Drone Assembly Engineer to join our team in Kyiv.

Responsibilities

Your tasks will include:

• Assembling FPV prototypes: installing electronics (FC, ESC, GPS, VTX, RX, cameras, power distribution boards), routing cables, soldering, maintaining PDB;
• Integrating systems: firmware setup, basic PID tuning, checking control channels and failsafe settings, installing and calibrating sensors;
• Testing: bench tests, initial flights with logging, providing feedback to engineers on overheating, vibrations, interference, etc.;
• Supporting the team: repairing drones after crashes, maintaining records of builds and components, updating configurations according to Tech Lead instructions;
• Documenting work: photo reports, notes on wiring diagrams, contributing to improvements of technical assembly guides.

Requirements

You are eligible for this position if you:

• Have 1.5–3 years of experience in FPV drones or robotics;
• Can assemble a complete FPV drone from scratch;
• Have intermediate or advanced soldering skills;
• Have experience working with flight controllers (Betaflight / INAV / ArduPilot);
• Understand the basics of electronics: voltage, current, resistance, battery balancing.
