About the Position
We are currently seeking a skilled Drug Safety Public Health Specialist - II to join a well-known client’s Pharmacovigilance team in an on-site role based in Foster City, CA. This position supports global drug safety operations by ensuring compliance with pharmacovigilance regulations and managing adverse event (AE) data. The Specialist will play a critical role in patient safety and regulatory compliance, making a meaningful impact on public health.

Responsibilities
- Perform operational pharmacovigilance activities including the collection, review, evaluation, processing, and submission of adverse event (AE) information
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and global regulatory requirements
- Independently perform routine and non-routine case management activities
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members as needed
- Actively participate in internal and cross-functional teams as a functional representative
- Lead functional workstreams and projects of high complexity
- Identify issues within pharmacovigilance processes and proactively propose solutions
- Assist management as needed in issue resolution
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Develop, review, and/or support quality review of safety data
- Provide input into team training initiatives and lead trainings or onboarding activities as required
- Represent the functional group in cross-functional project meetings
Requirements
- Experience performing pharmacovigilance and drug safety case management activities required
- Experience working with adverse event data and safety reporting processes
- Experience leading projects, training initiatives, or functional workstreams preferred
- Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams within a regulated environment
Education
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, or a related discipline required
