What Includes Your Dual Study?

During your dual study, you will get to know a variety of tasks and will receive intensive support. The six theory phases at the Dualen Hochschule Baden-Württemberg Mannheim (DHBW) each last about three months. You will attend lectures in small groups of about 25 students. The lecturers at the Dualen Hochschule include professors, lecturers from universities and technical colleges, as well as qualified practitioners. The study program lasts three years.

Variety: The dual study program focuses on Business Administration, Economics, Law, Banking and Insurance Studies, Financial Planning, Digital Transformation, and topics such as Savings, Real Estate, Credit, Stock Exchange, and Securities Trading, Risk Management, and Sales Management.
Look forward to diverse tasks: During your practical phases, you will rotate through many different specialist and staff departments. This allows you to apply the knowledge you have acquired at DHBW directly in practice.
See beyond the horizon: In addition to various projects, you can also look forward to interesting trainee events where you will learn about our corporate culture and values, and get to know the other locations of the insurance association.

How Your Study Program Works

1st to 5th Semester: You will alternate between about three months at DHBW Mannheim and three months in various departments of the Mannheimer.

6th Semester: You will complete your program with a bachelor's thesis and colloquium, and receive the academic degree Bachelor of Arts.

Aptitude Test On-Site: The test is designed to assess your linguistic and mathematical skills.
Getting to Know You: Through an introduction, a short interview, and further tasks, we learn more about you – and you learn more about us.
Final Decision: If you are accepted, we will contact you promptly and send you your training contract.
