About the Position

Dynamics 365 SCM Consultant (Production control)

We are looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant with deep, hands-on expertise in Production Control. This role is critical for projects involving manufacturing operations, where Production Control is not just a module, but the core of business execution. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing end-to-end production processes in Dynamics 365 SCM, ensuring alignment between business requirements and system capabilities across planning, execution, and cost control.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of Production Control in Microsoft Dynamics 365 SCM for manufacturing clients
  • Own end-to-end production processes: production orders (discrete / process / batch), BOMs, routes, resources and operations; production scheduling (job scheduling, finite/infinite capacity); shop floor execution and reporting
  • Translate complex manufacturing requirements into scalable D365 Production Control solutions
  • Configure and optimize: work centers and resource calendars; route operations and operation priorities; material consumption (flushing principles); scrap, rework, and production deviations
  • Ensure tight integration between Production Control, Master Planning, Inventory Management, and Cost Management
  • Support UAT, go-live, and post-go-live stabilization with a strong focus on production continuity
  • Act as a trusted advisor for manufacturing stakeholders (production planners, operations managers, plant controllers)

Requirements

  • Strong, practical experience with D365 SCM Production Control - this is a non-negotiable requirement
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing execution logic in D365, production order lifecycle and status management, capacity planning and bottleneck management, costing methods and production variance analysis
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues in live environments
  • Additional Skills & Experience:
    • Experience with manufacturing industries (discrete, process, or hybrid manufacturing)
    • Knowledge of Master Planning, Inventory Management, and Cost Accounting in D365 SCM
    • Experience working with integrations (MES, WMS, or external planning systems) is a strong plus
    • Strong analytical mindset and ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams
    • Experience in preparing functional documentation (FDDs, process flows, configuration guides)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Process Manufacturing modules
  • Exposure to multi-site or multi-legal-entity manufacturing setups
  • Previous involvement in global rollouts or complex manufacturing transformations

We Offer

  • Projects for such clients as PayPal, Wargaming, Xerox, Philips, Adidas, and Toyota
  • Competitive compensation that depends on your qualification and skills
