E-learning Specialist
Room 8 Group is an end-to-end strategic partner in external game development. Working across all platforms, we provide creative and technical expertise across game development, technology, art, trailers, and QA for AAA and AA games.
Since 2011, we’ve built creative partnerships with world-leading publishers such as Microsoft, Nintendo, Ubisoft, Sony, Gameloft, Take2, EA, and more. While leveraging our own cutting-edge tools and R&D capabilities, we’ve co-created a multitude of award-winning projects for video game IPs and franchises including Call of Duty, Diablo, Assassin’s Creed, Star Trek, The Walking Dead, Doctor Who, and many more.

About the Position
We are looking for an E-learning Specialist to join our Learning & Development team for a 1-year maternity cover. In this role, you will design and deliver engaging e-learning experiences, collaborate with stakeholders across the company, and support the development and management of internal learning initiatives. You will work at the intersection of instructional design, LMS management, and learning program operations, helping us create impactful learning experiences for our teams.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with departments to identify learning needs.
- Design and develop e-learning courses using instructional design (ID) methodologies, including interactive activities, quizzes, and video guides (screen-based).
- Ensure learning materials meet learning objectives and L&D quality standards. Recommend changes to existing learning programs.
- Manage feedback and revisions to ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations.
- Upload and manage courses in the Learning Management System (LMS) Open edX, course enrollments, and user access.
- Work closely with the LMS vendor on system improvements.
- Coordinate internal English language courses and Speaking Clubs in collaboration with an external vendor.
- Ensure Udemy licenses distribution when requested.
- Build relationships with stakeholders, People Business Partners, and subject matter experts (SMEs), maintain clear communication and collaboration.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in E-learning development/L&D
- Experience creating e-learning courses (Articulate 360, Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise or similar authoring tools)
- Familiarity with instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, Bloom’s taxonomy, etc.)
- Basic video editing skills (Adobe Premiere Pro, Clipchamp, Canva, or similar tools)
- Basic proficiency in visual design tools (e.g., Figma or Photoshop) and a general understanding of UI/UX principles.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple learning streams simultaneously
- English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
Nice to Have
- Experience working with LMS (preferably Open edX)
- Familiarity with AI tools
- An analytical mindset and the ability to interpret learning feedback and data
- Familiarity with reporting tools (MS Office, Power BI)
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
