ED Tech I at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital

Join Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Valencia, CA as an ED Tech I. Assist in emergency patient care under supervision of RN and physician.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Emergency Department staff and physicians in providing patient care.
• Interpret and monitor the patient's cardiac rhythm status.
• Provide a variety of clerical duties relating to the updating and organization of information in the Emergency Department.
• Direct the flow of communication between other units and departments.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and math skills
• EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Basic computer skills

---

Licensure and Certification

• Current CA EMT/Paramedic certification AND Current CA Phlebotomy (CPT) certification; OR current CA Paramedic licensure
• Current BLS provider card
• MAB certification

---

Education

• High School graduate, GED, or equivalent
• Medical terminology course completion preferred
• Basic Dysrhythmia recognition class

---

Experience

• 12-Lead EKG experience
• Previous experience in a comparable position highly desired
