Responsibilities

• Facilitate activities which drive compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and corporate EHS laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines
• Support and improve EHS programs and practices in the plant to eliminate hazards and reduce or eliminate associated risks
• Support the Management of Change Program and conduct safety inspections
• Participate in incident investigations
• Participate in sustainability initiatives and reporting
• Promote behavioral-based safety
• Ensure all employee and contractor training is completed, documented, and maintained

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in Occupational Health and Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, or Environmental Science, or relevant experience
• 3-5 years of experience in an EHS role at a chemical, (or industrial) manufacturing facility

Nice to Have

• Professional certification(s) such as: Certified Safety Professional (CSP®), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or related professional certification(s) or current in process
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with plant management and production employees
• Working knowledge in ergonomics, noise, confined space, machine guarding, and chemical approvals
• Experience in Industrial Hygiene
• Experience with PHA and starting up new operations
• Knowledge of working with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office

• Compensation: The salary range is $85,000 - 94,000 annually.
