Join Elevate Aircraft Seating GmbH in Kaiserslautern as an Electrical Certification Engineer / Electrical Architect, ensuring airworthiness and certification compliance of electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the airworthiness and certification compliance of electrical systems integrated into aircraft seats and cabin furniture.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers, customers, and regulatory authorities.
• Lead certification activities, define qualification requirements, review and create technical documentation.
• Support the development of innovative aerospace products in an international and dynamic environment.
• Analyze LRU (Line Replaceable Units) specifications, OEM, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform DFMEAs and define testing requirements and equipment qualification for suppliers.
• Manage technical aspects of electrical equipment suppliers, including certification documents review and approval.
• Create software validation for seat actuation systems.
• Write and/or check seat-relevant electrical certification documents, such as Acceptance Test Plan & Report, Grounding and Bonding calculations, Electrical Load Analysis, Safety System Assessment/Safety Analysis, and more.

Requirements

• University degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
• Profound knowledge of airworthiness regulations and requirements.
• A minimum of 5 years or more of direct experience in the certification of electrical systems for aircraft interiors.
• Proficiency in Project Management, communication, and leadership.
• Experience in working at a fast pace in changing environments; able to provide direction and pivot as needed whilst facing high levels of ambiguity.
• Highly collaborative team player with strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
• Capable of working in English and German.
• Applicants must hold a valid work permit for the European Union.
• Willingness to travel as required.
