We invite qualified engineers looking for opportunities to join our team in Renewables Certification. Renewables Certification (RC) belongs to business area Energy Systems and has the global responsibility for Type Certification (TC), Component Certification (CC) and Project Certification (PC) for Renewables. RC is the global market leader in the Renewables Certification market and is involved in 80% of Project Certification for offshore wind parks including offshore substations in the world.
DNV Renewables Certification China is looking to hire an Electrical Engineer, based in Shanghai or Beijing, China. The role entails a combination of technical responsibilities as well as project management and business development, with great career and growth prospects.
Main Responsibilities
- Customer interaction throughout all project stages: sales, contracting, execution, testing evaluation and certification, with a focus on identifying new business opportunities
- To interact with and drive technical discussions between technical experts from customer, testing lab and certification body
- Technical assessment within the scope of Grid Code Compliance
- Technical assessment within the scope of electrical components, including on-site visits
- Account manager for local customers
- Project management
Requirements
- M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
- Thorough understanding of the renewable industry
- Experience with:
- Technical requirements for grid connection and grid code compliance
- Working against standards, preferably international
- Component- and Type Certification
- Technical and professional analysis, independent assessment and evaluation of test results on electrical components, generation units and plants, certification to prove grid code compliance
- Experience in compliance assessment, testing, simulation, technical support, certification, etc. relating to grid codes or similar
- Software-supported modelling and examination (including DIgSILENT PowerFactory, MathWorks MATLAB)
- Software skills: DIgSILENT PowerFactory, MathWorks MATLAB, databases
- Experience with project management, business development and working with standards
- Relevant experience in the renewable industry, especially the OEM/manufacturer market
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Self-starter, capable of taking initiatives and building good personal and professional relationships
- High degree of flexibility and willingness to travel mainly within Mainland China (about 25% of the working time)
- Excellent communication skills; energetic and extrovert
- Team player who actively contributes to the success of the team and creates results through collaboration
