About the Position
Electrical Engineer
Our agency is looking for an Electrical Engineer on behalf of a leading facilities management provider supporting a hyperscale data center in Sedenak, Johor.
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and reliability of critical electrical infrastructure within a mission-critical data center environment. The role focuses on ensuring the continuous performance of power systems, supporting preventive maintenance activities, troubleshooting electrical issues, and maintaining safe and efficient facility operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain critical electrical systems including UPS, generators, transformers, switchgear, ATS, and power distribution equipment
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting activities to ensure equipment reliability and uptime
- Monitor critical facility systems through BMS, EPMS, DCIM, or other monitoring platforms
- Respond to alarms, electrical faults, and operational incidents while supporting corrective actions
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors during maintenance, testing, servicing, and repair activities
- Maintain maintenance records, equipment logs, inspection reports, and operational documentation
- Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with site safety procedures, operational standards, and company requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3-7 years of electrical engineering experience or engineering or critical facilities experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience within a data center, mission-critical facility, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or similar operational environment
- Experience with UPS, generators, transformers, switchgear, ATS, or power distribution systems
- Familiarity with BMS, EPMS, SCADA, or DCIM monitoring systems is advantageous
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Willingness to work in a site-based, mission-critical environment in Sedenak, Johor
