Electrical Engineer (Power/Designer)

About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer (Power/Designer) to join Lean Engineering (LEAN), a firm specializing in airfield lighting and electrical engineering systems. This role offers an opportunity to work on high-profile projects at major airports across the country.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with various disciplines, including engineers, developers, utilities, and contractors.
• Provide leadership to the design team.
• Use independent judgment and discretion effectively.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures are implemented within design teams.
• Handle specific design aspects relevant to the discipline.
• Manage all aspects of project scope development, quality control, and delivery.
• Design and develop products from an electrical perspective.
• Communicate regularly and directly with clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. EIT/P.E. preferred.
• Understanding of 480v/120v 3 phase+ 2 phase systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
• Experience with government codes, including NEC, is a plus.
• Experience in airport-related facilities, transportation, or commercial buildings is preferred.
• Self-motivated with the ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Registered EIT or in the process of registering.
• Passion for working in a collaborative and creative environment.
• Experience in government, military, or aviation is preferred.
• Superior attention to detail, focused, and a quick learner.
• Exceptional character and integrity.
• Pro-active problem solver.
• Some travel may be required.
• Must be able to pass all airport background checks.
