About the Position

Electrical/ PCB Design Engineer. IRC298774

GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking an experienced Electrical/ PCB Design Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in designing and developing advanced diagnostic and surgical systems that combine precision mechanics, real-time control, and high-fidelity imaging. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PCB design and a keen eye for detail, working within a quality-driven environment where reliability, safety, and traceability are paramount.

Responsibilities

  • Complete new PCB layouts from schematics.
  • Modify existing PCB layouts.
  • Release PCB documentation packages, including schematic, assembly drawing, artwork, and bareboard drawings.
  • Execute Process Change Orders, Engineering Change Orders, and Manufacturing Change Orders.
  • Build and maintain component libraries in Computer-Aided Design tools to support PCB design.
  • Answer vendor questions about boards and ensure manufacturability and compliance.

Requirements

  • Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years performing PCB layouts.
  • Proficiency in Altium for new boards, with the ability to work across legacy toolchains (Mentor Graphics, CadStar, OrCAD).
  • Strong design-for-compliance (DFC) and design-for-manufacturability (DFM) skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with PCB manufacturing processes and constraints.
  • Result-focused with the ability to iterate quickly, take ownership, and deliver independently.
  • Strong communication skills and fluent English.
