Job description

About the Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Email Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing Operations team. In this role, you will be the expert responsible for building, testing, and deploying email campaigns directly within Adobe Marketo Engage. The ideal candidate has a strong mix of technical Marketo execution skills, a keen eye for visual layout/HTML, and a passion for marketing automation best practices. You will work closely with our design, content, and campaign teams to turn campaign ideas into fully functional, high-performing email programs.

Responsibilities

  • Build, format, and modify responsive email templates and landing pages using Marketo's modular editor
  • Utilize basic HTML/CSS to troubleshoot layout issues, format text, and ensure responsive rendering across all major email clients and devices
  • Convert designs (Figma) into pixel-accurate, cross-client-compatible emails
  • Build and maintain Marketo landing pages, forms, and reusable design-system components/modules to speed up future production
  • Build and configure Marketo Smart Campaigns and Smart Lists
  • Set up diverse campaign types (e.g., single-cast emails, multi-touch nurture/drip sequences, webinar/event promotions)
  • Manage campaign assets, tokens, dynamic content, and program structures using Marketo best practices (naming conventions, folder structures)
  • Support database hygiene, list management, and lead scoring/routing logic in coordination with marketing operations
  • Monitor and troubleshoot deliverability, rendering, and tracking issues
  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) on all emails to ensure flawless rendering, working links, and accurate personalization tokens
  • Set up and execute A/B testing (e.g., subject lines, sender names, content layouts, send times) to continuously optimize performance
  • Define and build target audiences using Marketo Smart Lists, utilizing filter logic to ensure highly targeted, compliant (GDPR/CCPA/CAN-SPAM), and accurate database lists
  • Ensure correct UTM parameters and tracking links are embedded in all assets
  • Monitor daily/weekly campaign performance (opens, clicks, unsubscribes, bounces) and flag any delivery or deliverability issues
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, content, and campaign managers to gather requirements and manage revisions and approvals
  • Manage the email/campaign production calendar and turnaround times for a fast-paced, always-on marketing function
  • Document build processes, coding standards, and template libraries to scale internal knowledge and speed up execution
  • Bring recommendations on Marketo best practices and new features to improve program performance over time

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience actively building and executing campaigns in Adobe Marketo Engage (Marketo Certified Professional or Associate is a strong plus) or other automation platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of HTML/CSS specifically for email client limitations and rendering behaviors
  • Experience with email testing tools (e.g., Litmus, Email on Acid)
  • Strong understanding of email marketing deliverability, sender reputation, and global compliance regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL)
  • Solid grasp of A/B testing methodologies
  • Ability to translate static designs into functional, on-brand email builds
  • Strong attention to detail and QA discipline
  • Comfortable managing multiple email builds under deadline in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

We Offer

  • Experience exchange with colleagues from 55+ locations
  • Corporate and social events
  • Enjoyable working environment
  • We invest in your growth: Personal career development, soft skills, and well-being programs
  • Unlimited access to EPAM's internal learning database
  • Free English classes with certified teachers
  • We cover it all: Participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan
  • Comprehensive medical & family care package
  • Four trust days per year for personal needs
  • Discounts for fitness clubs
  • Benefits package (hotels, restaurants, stores, and services)
